The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) continues its efforts to provide aid for the survivors of the South Asian earthquake, providing medicine, blankets, tents, and hygiene kits for survivors in the District of Bagh, a town that was badly damaged by the earthquake near Muzzafarabad, Pakistan.

ADRA has completed the first phase of relief operations, delivering tents and food kits to 300 families in Bagh District, as well as providing medical screening for survivors.

ADRA has also received, and is preparing to distribute, three shipments of medicine among survivors in Bagh District.

In addition, ADRA is in the process of delivering more than 200 tents, and 10,000 blankets that have been donated by ADRA offices in Sweden and Germany. An additional 20,000 blankets and 6,000 hygiene kits have been ordered, and will soon be delivered as well, stated Raafat Kamal, regional vice president of ADRA’s Trans-European office.
